Based on the experiences of recent years, it can be said that the “Conference On High Voltage Insulation Diagnostics” has become the most important meeting in the Hungarian high-voltage insulation diagnostics field, which we will organize for the 24th time in 2026 at the newly renovated Kenese Bay Garden Resort and Conference Hotel in Balatonkenese. This event is practically the only event of the year that provides professionals working in this special field with the opportunity to exchange their experiences and learn about new developments in a comprehensive and summarized manner.

The latest scientific and technical results are appearing in increasing numbers, and the flow of information is very fast. It is a legitimate expectation that we utilize the latest and greatest results in our own company as efficiently as possible, and thus achieve technical and economic benefits. For this, among other things, it is also necessary that professionals can learn about new results and become more intensively involved in the professional circulation. One of the most important goals of our conference is to introduce the ways of utilizing the novelties, to provide education to insulation diagnostic specialists and to be a platform for the transfer of technical information.

In order to exchange information more effectively, we encourage everyone to share their opinions and experiences on the topics that arise, not only as listeners, but also as speakers and commentators. Participants can receive useful guidance on proven, best practices in order to avoid bad decisions as effectively as possible. Transformers are very expensive and have a long lifespan – in many cases, this can be 40-60 years. Making bad decisions can have serious and lasting consequences. It is clear that such events are needed, we need to share our knowledge.

Within the framework of the event, participants have many opportunities to exchange experiences, build relationships, obtain up-to-date information, and discuss problematic issues, whether during breaks between lectures or in the evenings during their free time together. This is a particularly good opportunity during the evening “friends’ meetings”.

The presentations at the conference will once again review the broad spectrum of diagnostics of electrical high-voltage insulation. The most prestigious diagnostic instrument manufacturers, such as Haefely and Megger, provide assistance in this, but lecturers from the technical university also give lectures.

More than 100 specialists participate in the conference every year, proving that specialists working scattered throughout the country require and find such gatherings useful. The program will run from Wednesday noon to Friday noon as usual, and the detailed program will be available on our website.

This year, we will also pay special attention to experts working in the field of cable diagnostics. As in the past, we will provide them with a more detailed consultation opportunity that delve into practical issues together with MEGGER, where they will have the opportunity to discuss their measurement experiences and problems.

Similar to the practice of previous years, we intend to give space at the conference to all presentations that may be of interest to the audience involved in the topic.
